LIZZY GRUNSHAW
PROFESSIONAL VIOLIN & FIDDLE PLAYER
Lizzy grew up in Texas and showed a natural talent for playing music at a very young age. She began learning to play the piano at the age of four and later took up the violin, which fast became her favorite instrument.
COUNTRY, CLASSICAL, OLD TIME FIDDLE, BLUEGRASS, POPULAR & MANY MORE!
Throughout her school years, Lizzy competed in many local and regional competitions, collecting many medals and awards.
Beginning at the age of 11, she participated in the El Paso Philharmonic orchestra every year until the age of 18. Later, she was a member of both the University of Texas at El Paso and Sam Houston State University orchestras. While attending Sam Houston State University, Lizzy taught violin lessons to members of the community. She has also performed at many community and private events – and was a member of No Foolin’, an old time fiddle band.
Lizzy is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville, where she has played a wide variety of instruments in the Praise and Worship band since 2002.
Lizzy is married to James and they have four children together. While homeschooling and taking care of her family, Lizzy studied for and completed her Bachalors Degree in General Studies with concentrations on music, psychology and criminal justice.
